We are looking for a friendly, professional, and reliable Events Waiter/Waitress to join our hotel team.
The successful candidate will provide excellent guest service during events, functions, weddings, conferences, and private occasions.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
Previous experience in hotel, restaurant, banqueting, or event hospitality is preferred, although we are also open to candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
The role offers flexible working hours, with shifts varying according to the hotel's event schedule and business requirements.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays is required.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to guests throughout hotel events and functions.
• Set up and prepare tables, event spaces, and service areas to the required hotel standards.
• Serve food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with the hotel's service standards and event requirements.
• Ensure tables, service areas, and event spaces are maintained to a high standard throughout the event.
• Assist with the smooth operation of the bar and beverage service during events.
• Ensure guests receive a high standard of service throughout the event.
• Maintain clean, tidy, and well-presented service areas, and event spaces.
• Be able to prepare cocktails accurately by following the hotel's approved cocktail recipe bible and established standards.
• Assist with bar preparation, including glassware, garnishes, mixers, ice, and other bar supplies.
• Monitor beverage stock levels and ensure sufficient stock is available for events.
• Take responsibility for beverage stock control, including correct storage and rotation of products.
• Assist with event set-up, service, and breakdown before, during, and after functions.
• Communicate effectively with the Kitchen, and Front-of-House teams.
• Work closely with the Events and Food & Beverage teams to ensure the smooth running of each event.
• Respond professionally to guest requests and assist in resolving any service issues.
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow all hotel grooming and uniform standards.
• Follow hotel procedures relating to health & safety, food hygiene, and responsible service.
• Work efficiently as part of a team in a busy and fast-paced events environment.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties required to ensure the smooth and successful running of hotel events.
Requirement
• Previous experience in hotel, restaurant, banqueting, or event hospitality is preferred.
• Previous experience working in a bar or as a Bar Back is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wines, beers, spirits, and cocktails.
• Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays when required.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional approach.
• Well-presented, professional, and confident when interacting with hotel guests.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy hotel and events environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain high standards throughout each event.
• Experience with food and beverage service, table service, banqueting, and functions is an advantage.
• Willingness to assist with set-up, service, clearing tables, and event breakdown.
• Ability to follow hotel standards, procedures, and health & safety requirements.
